Meet Dr. Robertine Chaderton FCCA, CFE

Dr. Robertine Chaderton is an author, academic, and practitioner. She specialises in training in the discipline of accounting with broad-based practical experience in the profession.

A consultant, resource person and prolific writer in the area of accounting and finance with experience working with several institutions and private companies across the Caribbean region, Dr. Chaderton is also an ardent researcher of accounting practices in developing countries.

Dr. Chaderton has held a number of prestigious position throughout the region and have attained the following accomplishments:

  • Chair of St Kitts Nevis Accreditation Board
  • Vice Chancellor’s Nominee to the Campus Council for The UWI,Open Campus
  • Founder of the North Eastern Caribbean Accounting School (NECAS), which provides on-line and face-to-face tuition for the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA)
  • Approved Learning Tuition Provider ACCA (since 2002)
  • Profiled by ACCA in the Centenary publication 100 Accountants in the World, 2004
  • Designed and hosted 10 week Television programme “Managing Your Money” funded by Eastern Caribbean Institute of Banking (aired in Antigua, Anguilla, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St Kitts & Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent), 2000
  • Established a not-for–profit organisation which runs Ade’s Place, a centre for adults with learning disabilities 2005; serves as Chair of the Board
  • Award on International Women’s Day 2020 for Work with persons with Disabilities
Dr Chaderton has received a number of Academic Awards including:
  • Commonwealth Academic Fellowship, 1991, to pursue doctoral studies
  • Organisation of American States (OAS) Fellowship, 1985, to seminar on Services for International Trade at Institute of Inter-American Studies
  • Graduate School of International Studies, University of Miami
  • Dr. Chaderton holds a Ph.D. University of Manchester, England, U.K., 1993 Thesis Topic: “The Role of Accounting Services in the Financial Structure of Developing Countries with special reference to Antigua, Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago”
